Documanetary series Slovak Cinema is a personal statement on Slovak cinema of the current generation of documentary filmmakers. "Fear and thrill" by Miro Remo is inspired by the author's fear for the future of Slovak cinema because it still remains just a minority audience cinema. Most of the film productions are made by unsuccessful authors and the films are unattractive for viewers. Ironicaly enough, they are being made with the financial support of an Audiovisual Fund. Perhaps here are no good filmmakers left. Or are there? The film examines the older "Chudík's" detective stories along with Grečner's, Trančík's and Balco's feature films all the way to the new ones, the box office flops financed with the state's support. The film raises a question: "Who killed the Slovak audience?"
